His orthopaedic higher surgical training took place in the Liverpool at the SpR grade for six years, leading to a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST). He completed his FRCS Ed (Tr & Orth) in 2001. He then underwent fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Wirral Hospitals in Merseyside, US, Belgium and Amsterdam. Additionally, he was awarded an AO Trauma Fellowship in the USA with Professor James Hughes.
Mr. Zubairy was awarded the BOFAS traveling fellowship to the USA and Belgium. He has also received training in ankle and foot arthroscopic techniques in Amsterdam.
He completed his specialist orthopaedic training in 2002 and was appointed as an NHS consultant at the East Lancashire NHS Trust, where he developed his practice as an orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in lower limb, adult foot, and ankle disorders. He now leads a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals providing care for routine and complex foot and ankle disorders, along with trauma and general orthopaedics. He teaches on several national courses.
His research interests include postoperative pain relief, ankle fractures and ankle replacement , first MTP joint replacement, informed consent, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and outcome measures. His work has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international meetings worldwide. He has RCT studies in progress and also contributes to NIHR portfolio studies.
His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery (MIS) for bunion and hammer toes arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery, total ankle replacement, and Extracorporeal Shock Wave Treatment (ESWT) for tendinopathies. PRP and steroid injection.

Medicolegal Practice: Mr. Zubairy’s practice includes medicolegal reporting for personal injury and clinical negligence cases.
Aesthetics: Mr. Zubairy is trained in non-surgical aesthetic procedures, including facial Botox, hyaluronic acid (HA) facial and lip fillers, and treatments for hyperhidrosis, among others.
